Turquoise

Our turquoise selection currently focuses on material from Hubei Province, China , a source known for producing some of the most visually diverse turquoise in the world. Hubei turquoise forms in a wide range of blues and greens, often featuring distinctive spiderweb, ribbon, and cloud-like matrix patterns created by natural host rock and mineral inclusions.

All Hubei turquoise we work with is 100% natural and untreated ~ no stabilizing. Most pieces are left unbacked so you receive the material exactly as it formed and all of our cabochons have polished backs. In rare cases where a particularly thin but beautiful stone needs support, we may add a backing, which will always be clearly stated in the individual listing.

We cut each piece in-house, allowing us to learn the character of the stone as we go. As we continue gaining experience with turquoise, we plan to gradually introduce material from additional localities.
